Our Story
Back in 1992, founder Geoffrey Swenson took an old concept—classic American comfort food— and paired it with old-fashioned hospitality and principles to create the first location in Burlingame.
We, at Stacks, are still working hard every day to be the very best at what we do: serving good old-fashioned American food.
We haven’t changed much through the years, providing customers with high quality ingredients, generous portions at a reasonable price and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps people coming back year after year.
Today, All the locations have been sold, and the Burlingame location, which has been the Flagship of all the Stacks remains as the original and still run under the direction of Geoffrey the owner and creator.

Our menu items
Our simple American classics are homemade with farm fresh eggs, real butter, and heavy cream.
Our fruits and vegetables are market fresh. We use only the highest quality of Midwest Hormel meat products, such as our apple-wood smoked bacon and our honey hams. We use the famous Aidells chicken apple sausage, and our burgers are #1 USDA Choice Angus, fresh, never frozen.
